I still remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. I was in junior school & I was about 10 or 11 & I remember finishing school & meeting my mum in the car park ready to pick me up. She had the radio on & told me that two of the tallest buildings in the world had just been blown up in New York. We sat in the car park listening to the interviews and updates on what had happened and I remember sitting in shock after hearing that an estimated 3000+ people had been killed. I also remember watching t.v when I came home & seeing the smoke billowing off the towers & the heartbreaking interviews of the people of New York who were on the streets as it happened, footage of people's homes & shops nearby that had been destroyed by the debris & the families of the people inside the building & of course the brave people who jumped. The falling man and the couple who held hands as they jumped out the top floor.

My heart goes out to all the families & friends of the people who didn't survive 9/11, all the people that did & everyone who was effected by it.

  1. Your post is better and more sincere than what was in the New Yorker and on Fox. You've posted it for zero eyes, whereas the majors are selling commemorative editions and advertising spots.

    Nice post.
